Enkel Peer: Pioneering a new frontier in sound and nature

Ars Natura is the work of Luxembourg-based musician, sound engineer and nature sound collector Ben Feinen, known on stage as Enkel Peer. His fascination lies in the idea that music does not have to begin with an instrument. It can begin with a bird call, a branch, a human breath, a piece of metal or the sound of rain.

Drawing on years of experience in audio production, live sound and electronic music, he reshapes these recordings through sampling, analog processing and performance. At the center of the project stands the hand-built Ars Natura Desk, created in the old workshop of his grandfather, whose name also lives on in the artist name Enkel Peer.
